UiaML Core Properties

contentarea IDString

unique name for each content grouping

descriptionStringText that describes the information that will be represented by the contentarea.

Explanation

A contentarea is the physical container of a group of contentarea elements (CAE). Often a deployed contentarea is recognizable by a different background or a frame that groups the content.

A contentarea might reappear on several different pages within a single site. The menu is an example of such a contentarea.

Within a UiaML Sitemap there is for each contentarea with the same contentareaID exactly one contentarea in which the contentareaID is underlined. The is the defining contentarea. Only from that contentarea links to pages may be drawn.
